Well, it’s been a while, hasn’t it? In the literal years it’s been since I’ve made a post, I’ve moved from Seattle to North Dakota, among other things. Covid had a rather dramatic, if quiet, impact on my art, and I’m finding myself drawn to more representational styles that tap into my love of draftsmanship and the natural world.
I’m not quite ready for a full overhaul of my website yet, so I added a few things, changed my bio, and called it day. To find out what I’m up to on a more regular basis, for now, Instagram is probably the best bet. I’m most likely found on my @blue.crow.laura handle, rather than my older one, but both link together.
Garlic Bulb, micron pen on Bristol
I’ll be teaching my first workshop in North Dakota in June at the Bismarck Arts and Galleries Association. It’s an intro to fine-line pen using botanicals as the focus, and it’ll be held on June 28. Here’s a link.
